WW - Rolex Oyster Cosmograph Daytona, ref 6264, circa 1971, 37mm x 43mm to lug tips, 19mm lug width, original stainless steel screw back Oyster case with Bakelite tachymeter bezel and round pump pushers, original Rolex folded link Oyster bracelet, original silver panda dial with applied silver baton indices with luminous pip at edge and "DAYTONA" above the hour recorder at 6 in black, three inset black subregisters for minute recording, hour recording and subsidiary seconds, 17J cal 727, adjusted to 3 positions, s#2750789, triple signed with signed clasp, bracelet ref 7835-19 with 271 end links, date stamp of 1-71, inside back ref 6239. This watch is fresh to market from the estate of the original owner and is a tremendous surviving example of a rare and seldom seen reference. Includes several half links from the bracelet.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, fresh overhaul 7/19/2023, chronograph functions and resets properly, excellent-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, no oxide, very light fine scratches to plates; nearly flawless dial with hardly any surface spotting and very light wear to dial perimeter; excellent-plus hands with light marks to minute hand and minute recorder hand; polished case shows light wear, retains some of its original factory finishing on lug backs, light dings on the inside of the lug tips as well as light wear on the backs of the lugs from being worn on a bracelet; Bakelite tachymeter bezel with very light surface scratches, light paint loss to rear at 53 on bezel; bracelet shows medium wear, medium stretch; original Rolex signed crown shows hardly any wear, good threads; good crystal; resealed for auction.
